When it comes to funny interactions with fans, Rohit Sharma is an expert. ‘Hitman’ is known to interact at a humorous level with his admirers and it happened once again. This time, his favourite snack ‘vada pav’ was involved. By his own admission, Rohit loves eating it and fans have offered the snack to him in the past.
Rohit Sharma Says No to ‘Vada Pav’Once again, sadly, Rohit had to decline the fan’s offer. He was batting in the nets ahead of the ODI series vs New Zealand that starts on January 11. At that time a fan asked if he wanted to have ‘vada pav’. Rohit waved and said no.

"Rohit bhaiya, vada pav pahije ka (Rohit bhai, you want a vada pav?)" is what the fan asked in a video that went viral. Rohit can be heard saying no. He was polite and the fans who were watching him bat loved it. After all, ‘Hitman’ is respected all over the country.
A Brilliant 2025 for Rohit SharmaThe year 2025 was a good one for Rohit. He hit a match-winning 76 in the Champions Trophy final and led India to a historic 3rd title. He ended the year as the No. 1 batter in the ICC ODI Rankings and completed 20,000 international runs. Not to mention becoming the highest six-hitter in ODIs. In 14 innings, he made 650 runs at an average of 50 and hit two 100s and four 50s. His top score was 121 not out.

Rohit’s overall ODI numbers are woth envying. In 271 innings from 279 games with 37 unbeaten knocks, he’s made 11,516 runs at an average of 49.21. Add to that, 33 100s and 61 50s. Not to mention a top score of 264, which is the highest individual ODI score. Rohit enters 2026 needing 484 to complete 12,000 ODI runs and if he hits two more sixes, he will the first to breach the 650-mark in international cricket. As of now, Rohit holds the world records for most ODI sixes, ODI 200s, ODI 150s, top ODI score, most international sixes, most T20I sixes and joint-most T20I 100s.
Will Rohit Sharma Play the 2027 ODI World Cup?He turns 39 this year and will hope to play in the ODI World Cup in late 2027. Rohit has already retired from Tests and T20Is so an ODI retirement will mean an international farewell. He’s been around for nearly 19 years and it remains to be seen when it’s the end of the road for ‘Hitman’. When he does leave the game and one day he will, Indian cricket shall be poorer for it and world cricket shall be poorer still.
