News India Live, Digital Desk: Nowadays the government is busy in making the ration distribution system (PDS) completely transparent. The only objective is to ensure that food grains reach only those who are truly poor and need ration. In this series, the biggest ‘cleanliness’ campaign has been launched so far, in which the names of about 12 lakh people have been removed from the list. After all, why did the government take this step? There is no single reason behind this, but many reasons together have given rise to such a huge figure: Absence of KYC (e-KYC): The government had been beating the drum for the last several months saying that one should get e-KYC done for one’s ration card. The names of those who did not take it seriously are now disappearing from the list. Ineligible people: There were many people who were not eligible for the ration card – such as those who already owned luxury cars, big houses in the city or had a good income. In data cross-checking, such people were easily identified. Ghost Beneficiaries: Many such cards were running which were either fake or were in the names of people who have died. Now, how to find out whether your name is in the list or not? There is no need to panic, it is very easy to check and you can do this work from your mobile sitting at home: First of all, visit the official website of ‘Food and Logistics Department’ (NFSA) of your state. Go to. There click on the option ‘Ration Card Details’ or ‘Beneficiary List’. Select your district, block and your Gram Panchayat or Municipal Body. Now the complete list of your area will open in front of you. Here you can see your name and ration card status. If your name has been deleted, what to do? If you think that your name has been deleted by mistake and you are eligible for ration, then do not panic. You can apply by going to your nearest ‘Supply Office’ or Tehsil. Register a complaint with your Aadhar card and income proof and get the KYC done again, then your name can be added again. Our advice: Ration card is not just for free food grains, but also works as an address proof for many government schemes. Therefore, it is very important to keep your ‘digital identity’ in order. Meet your Kotedar today or check the list online. Were you also getting KYC messages? Please tell us your problem and opinion in the comments so that others can also become aware.
