As rain has been predicted in some southern states this winter, the farmers there will definitely be worried. At the same time, many states of the country, including the national capital Delhi, have also been warned of dense fog in the morning. What does the weather forecast say?

According to information received from IMD, Uttarakhand, Punjab, East Uttar Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi may witness cold weather throughout the day on Thursday, January 8, 2025.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, Mizoram, West Bengal and Sikkim have been recording minimum temperatures between five and ten degrees Celsius for the past few days.

Also, the lowest i.e. 3.3° temperature has been recorded at Ambikapur in Chhattisgarh in the plains. Severe cold has been seen in Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad. Most of the hilly areas are recording below zero temperature. Now tomorrow too there will be severe cold in all these states.

Meanwhile, dense fog is likely to occur in some parts of eastern Rajasthan, Bihar, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh for the next three days from tomorrow. Whereas Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura are likely to experience dense fog till January 12, 2025.

But on one hand due to cold weather and dense fog, on the other hand from tomorrow till January 11, there is a forecast of thundershowers along with stormy winds at some places in the state of Tamil Nadu.

Rains are also predicted in Kerala and Mahe. Rain with thunderstorm is also forecast here. In this background, the citizens of the respective states have been appealed to be careful.
