Kiara Advani, who became a mother last year, has not been seen on the silver screen for a long time. She is now going to make a comeback on the big screen with Geetu Mohandas's film Toxic, in which Kannada superstar Yash is in the lead role. The teaser of the film has been released on Yash's birthday on 8 January. The first look of five female leads including Kiara has also been revealed. Now, a source has said that Kiara's character has been created in a circus-like environment, in fact the character is an acrobat, while Kiara has worked with international performers, which is being described as "visuals never seen before in Indian cinema".
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-ups stars Yash in the lead role, along with Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth and Kiara Advani. In this bilingual film, shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, Kiara plays the character named Nadia. According to sources, the actress has trained extensively with an international team for this role.
In the film, Kiara will be seen doing a Cirque du Soleil inspired act, for which international artists were called to work with Kiara. She not only helped train the actresses, but also helped design and rehearse an act, the aim of which was to create "visuals not seen before in Indian cinema, to make it global and deliver a cinematic experience."
Kiara had earlier described her role in Toxic as her 'toughest role till date'. Sources said, "Kiara's character is said to be fearless, outspoken and intoxicating, which is a combination of grace, power and intensity, which makes her screen presence in the film powerful."
Director Geetu Mohandas also praised the actor's performance. In a note to the actor on social media, the filmmaker wrote, "What Kiara has done on screen in this film has been nothing short of a game changer. As a director, I am so proud of her and her performance, and the trust and heart she brought to our journey together."
Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups will release in theaters on March 19, 2026, where it will clash with Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar's much-awaited sequel Dhurandhar 2.
