Many programs will be organized throughout the year at Somnath Temple in Gujarat to celebrate ‘Somnath Swabhiman Parv’.

Amit Shah wrote on social media platform This temple has faced many attacks in the last thousand years, but it has stood up every time. It is a symbol of our civilizational immortality and our strong will to never give up. The names and traces of those who tried to destroy it have been erased, but this temple stands today with even more grandeur.

Shah said that the historicity of Somnath temple shows that such attacks can damage us, but cannot wipe us out, because it is the basic instinct of Sanatan culture to rise with more grandeur and divinity every time.

‘It is my good fortune that I am the trustee of this holy temple’

He said, “Prime Minister Modi has decided to celebrate ‘Somnath Swabhiman Parv’ on the 1000th anniversary of the first attack on the Somnath temple so that the message of continuity and vitality of Sanatan culture can be conveyed to our future generations. I am fortunate that I am the trustee of this holy temple. I appeal to all the countrymen that you too should join the Somnath Swabhiman Parv which runs from today till January 11.”
