In the world of mobile services, users often decide which option is better, prepaid or postpaid. In prepaid plans the user has to deposit the money first, while in postpaid services the user has to use it first and pay the bill later. For this reason postpaid is seen as a ‘hassle-free service’. Airtel has simplified the process of switching from prepaid to postpaid for its customers, with no need to change numbers and no additional charges.
In prepaid plans, users have to recharge first and avail the services according to the same amount. On the other hand, in postpaid plans, users continue to receive services even if they use more than certain limits, and the billing process happens later. That’s why postpaid is generally considered premium and convenient.
Postpaid users do not have to face the problem of frequent recharge. All services are available on a fixed billing cycle. Additionally, the connection remains uninterrupted even when the data and calling limits are exceeded. This feature is especially beneficial for those who want to maintain constant connectivity.
Airtel customers can convert from prepaid to postpaid from the nearest Airtel store, Airtel Thanks app, or Airtel’s official website. Users need to go to the postpaid section and select the ‘Switch to Postpaid’ option, fill the form and click on upgrade.
KYC documents are required for the switching process. After this the customer can choose the postpaid plan as per his choice. This process takes 24 to 48 hours, and services are not interrupted during this time.
This step of Airtel has brought a lot of relief to those users who face the problem of frequent recharge. In future, the company may also introduce new offers and family plans to make postpaid services more attractive.
