His innings included 15 fours. Apart from them, Harry Brook scored 42 runs and Jamie Smith scored 26 runs. All-rounders Beau Webster and Mitchell Starc proved to be heroes for Australia. Both of them took three wickets each in the second innings, while Boland got two wickets and Neser got one wicket.

Australia needed 160 runs to win on the final day of the last Test of the Ashes series. The innings was started by Travis Head and Jack Weatherald. Travis Head scored 29 and Jack Weatherald scored 34 runs. Marnus Labuschagne added 37 runs. Captain Steve Smith was out after scoring 12 runs.
