Iran Protests: Protests against rising inflation and deteriorating economic situation in Iran have taken violent forms. This protest has been going on for 13 days. According to international media reports, agitators are on the streets in more than 100 cities across the country. The roads are jammed. Many vehicles were set on fire while slogans were raised against the government.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei addressed the nation for the first time amid nationwide demonstrations. Iran’s state TV broadcast Khamenei’s speech. Khamenei said that the protesters are destroying their own country to please the president of another country.
Khamenei said Iran would not tolerate “mercenaries working for foreigners.” He claimed that there are foreign agents behind the protests who are instigating violence in the country. A big conspiracy is being hatched against Iran. People have been advised to remain alert. The public should not get influenced by anyone’s instigation, if they do then they are causing great harm to their country. Which will directly benefit the people sitting abroad. The public should remain alert and support the government, so that the unruly elements can be dealt with.
According to the US Human Rights Agency, 45 people have been killed in violence during the demonstrations, including 8 children. A police officer has been stabbed to death. Taking action on the matter, the police have detained more than 2,270 people.
