New Delhi. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has recommended the CBI to investigate the famous Ankita Bhandari murder case of Uttarakhand. CM said that providing justice to Ankita Bhandari is our top priority. Ankita’s parents had demanded a CBI investigation into the entire matter, respecting their views, a CBI investigation has been recommended. CM said that our government has always been committed to the protection and respect of mother power. There is rule of law in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, the culprits will not be spared under any circumstances, such punishment will be given which will set an example for the society.

CM Dhami said that as soon as the information about the unfortunate incident that happened with late Ankita Bhandari was received, the state government had started action with complete transparency and impartiality without any discrimination. SIT was immediately formed under the leadership of a woman IPS officer and all the accused to the case were immediately arrested. After investigation by the SIT, a charge sheet was filed against the accused and after the completion of the hearing, the lower court sentenced the accused to life imprisonment. This is proof that the state government has ensured justice with transparency from the beginning till now.

The Chief Minister said, separate FIRs have been registered in connection with the audio clips recently circulated on social media, the investigation of which is ongoing. During this time, some people have created confusing situations to fulfill their political objectives, in such a situation, it is the responsibility of the government to free the public from the situation of confusion. Let us tell you that Ankita was a receptionist at Vanantara Resort located near Rishikesh. He was murdered in September 2022. Resort owner Pulkit Arya put pressure on Ankita to provide special service for his VIP customers, when she did not agree, he along with his two employees Saurabh Bhaskar and Ankit Gupta murdered her.
