Former England and Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney was seen holding back tears of pride and joy as he watched his brother, John, lead Macclesfield to victory in the FA Cup.
The National League North side produced one of the biggest FA Cup upsets of all time as they beat holders Crystal Palace 2-1 at Moss Rose. Goals from Paul Dawson and Isaac Buckley-Ricketts put the Silkmen in dreamland, before Yeremy Pino's strike in the 90th minute that put the pressure on.
Macclesfield saw it out though, defending bravely to earn themselves a place in the fourth round of the FA Cup, continuing their dream run in the competition. They had previously beaten AFC Totton and Slough Town to reach the third round, but Crystal Palace is comfortably the biggest scalp they've claimed after years of challenges.

Wayne was asked for a reaction to his brother's cup triumph on BBC, as he said: "It's incredible to see my younger brother achieve this, he has not long been the manager. I am so proud of him." The former Man United striker choked up when speaking with pride about the success he witnessed.
Macclesfield Town were liquidated and expelled in 2020, following mounting debts, bringing an end to an institution that was founded in 1874. The spirit of the club continued, however, through the phoenix club, which has been on the rise and continues to do so.
Three promotions in four seasons has seen them back in the sixth tier, while the move to the National League North has come with the appointment of John Rooney as manager. It's the 35-year-old's first job in management, having spent two spells with the club as a player.
While his brother Wayne was an international superstar striker, John was a midfielder who spent most of his playing career in the lower tiers. Spells with Macclesfield, Chester, Wrexham, Barrow, Stockport, and Oldham saw him rack up plenty of appearances and experience.
He hung up his boots at the end of last season and made that transition into coaching at the club where he started and ended his playing career. While it's been a mixed return to life in the sixth tier, as Macclesfield sit 14th in the National League North, a run in the cup could help push them even further.
John Rooney is looking to forge his own career in management and has certainly sealed his name in the history of the FA Cup. Wayne is currently out of management, having previously taken charge of Derby County, D.C. United, Birmingham City, and Plymouth Argyle.
Speaking to the BBC, Macclesfield captain and man of the match, Paul Dawson added: "I am very happy but very tired. I felt like we kept our shape really well and they didn't make very much.
"I was surprised [with the win] like I said before, the gaffer gave us a game plan and we all stuck to it and got where we wanted to be. I was very calm coming into it and on the pitch. I do get in a few of them head-to-heads each week, so this head isn't going to get that hurt.
"Macclesfield means the world to me. It's an immense achievement. I am proud of the boys and proud of the fans. It's a really big community club."
Macclesfield will be ball number 30 for the fourth round draw, which will take place on Monday, January 12, before Liverpool's clash with Barnsley.
