The administration was asked to take action for marking the land for building a grand memorial of Jagadguru Ramanandacharya ji.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday held a review meeting regarding the preparations for the upcoming bathing festivals of Magh Mela 2026 at the ICCC auditorium located in Prayagraj Fair Authority. Divisional Commissioner Soumya Aggarwal gave detailed information to the Chief Minister about the preparations made for organizing Magh Mela through a power presentation.
The Chief Minister asked all the officers to work with full promptness and dedication to complete the Magh Mela safely and it is a big challenge to complete two important bathing festivals in a short time between 14th and 18th January. For this, from now onwards all the officers should discharge their responsibilities with full responsibility and promptness and ensure the successful completion of the bathing festivals. He praised all the concerned officials involved in Magh Mela for successfully completing the Paush Purnima Snan festival.
Chief Minister Yogi said that the cleanliness system in the fair should be of high level. The bathing area and circulating area of the ghats should be further increased for the devotees to take bath, so that more and more devotees can take bath together and they do not face any problem in taking bath. Devotees should not throw clothes, plastic bags or worship materials in the river Ganga and no devotee should use soap etc. while bathing, so that the cleanliness of the water is maintained and all the bathers take a holy dip of faith in the clean and clear water.
He said that the honorarium of the Swachhagrahis engaged in the Magh Mela should be paid on time and all necessary facilities for education etc. should be provided to them and their children. Told the Municipal Corporation that there should be no encroachment on the road, roads and pathways should be kept open, so that the devotees coming to Magh Mela do not face any kind of difficulty. The police department has been asked to remove unnecessary and illegally put up hoardings and keep patrolling regularly for the safety of devotees.
The Chief Minister said that the police department should keep a strict vigil to ensure that drugs are not sold anywhere in the fair and that no anarchist should be allowed to spread anarchy in the fair. Everyone has a desire to take bath at the Sangam Nose, therefore, there will be a lot of pressure on the Sangam Nose during the main bathing festivals, in view of which all the necessary arrangements should be made in advance. In view of the cold weather, adequate number of bonfires should be lit and it has been asked to identify the needy and ensure distribution of blankets to them. Police and administrative officers should behave well with the saints, devotees and bathers coming to the fair. It has been directed to widely publicize the public welfare schemes of the government, so that people can know about the schemes of the government. A request has been made to build a memorial of Jagadguru Ramanandacharya ji by the saints and mahatmas. Prayagraj is the land of many sages and mahatmas. To build a grand memorial of Ramanandacharya ji, the administration has been asked to take necessary action including land marking.

Devotees can give their complaints and suggestions by scanning the QR code of this app. The Chief Minister said that if any suggestion or work is given by the public representatives, action should be taken on it on priority. City West MLA Siddharth Nath Singh urged the Chief Minister to increase proper lighting arrangements at the airport. MLA Bara Dr. Vachaspati said that the Pipa bridge connecting Padua to Kaushambi has not been operationalized yet.
