Pop superstar Ariana Grande is setting the record straight after fans misunderstood a recent interview about her music plans.
The 32-year-old singer joked about her busy schedule, saying she’d need “an extra brain and four more arms” to handle everything. Fans had guessed that she might release music before the Eternal Sunshine Tourbut she revealed nothing is decided yet.
Speaking to Varietythe singer addressed the tour and new music, “No — definitely not. Nothing is coming before May. I love them so much.”
Moreover, she added, “But sometimes I want to ask, ‘Do you think there’s another version of me out there who had time to write an album?’ Not yet — but soon enough.”
Following the viral story, the 7 Rings songstress clarified the interview in an Instagram comment on a fan post, “Welp I never said ‘but soon enough’ or mentioned any months! lol my goooooodness. All I said was ‘no’ and ‘do they think there’s a clone of me out there somewhere’!”
Notably, Grande is currently touring for her deluxe album Eternal Sunshine (March 2024) and promoting her acting projects, including Wicked: For Good, Focker In-Lawand American Horror Story season 13.
