Gwalior: Due to change in weather, rainy season is now looking scary. Incidents like cloud bursts can destroy entire areas, as has been seen earlier also. Last day, people of Gwalior's Urban Green City also got scared due to the fear of a similar cloudburst. There was no sign of rain before sleeping at night, but when we woke up in the morning, the inside of the houses were filled with water. The matter was understood only when the puzzled colony residents checked the CCTV footage.

First only the sound came, then what was seen...

This was the scene of bursting of a pipeline laid in the urban green city. Initially the CCTV footage was absolutely silent. An iron cage installed on the wall of a building and on the road was visible. After a few moments a strange sound is heard. Within seconds it becomes clear that it is the sound of concrete breaking on the road. Soon after, the concrete breaks up and water starts gushing out in several places. It was the scene of a bursting of a main water pipeline passing through there. Within no time, the houses in Urban Green Colony were flooded.

Complaint about installation of poor quality pipes

According to reports, cracks have appeared in about a dozen houses in the area due to the strong pressure of water. The verandahs of many houses were broken. Household items and other things kept outside were washed away. Water entered many houses. Reports also say that people are afraid to go to their cracked homes. Local people fear that the strong flow of water has weakened the soil's hold, which may cause houses to collapse. Local people told that they heard a loud bang at night and when they came out and saw that the entire area was submerged in water, they could not understand what happened. On receiving information about the incident, the Municipal Corporation Commissioner reached the spot and ordered to close the water supply line. Local people alleged that poor quality pipes were installed in the area.
