Rajasthan: District administrations in many regions of Rajasthan have changed school schedules and extended vacations in response to the severe cold wave that is sweeping the state.

The state is still seeing a sharp decline in temperature, making everyday living difficult due to extreme cold and thick fog. Eleven districts have received red, orange, and yellow advisories for cold wave conditions from the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Relief is only anticipated until January 14–15, according to IMD.
Authorities in many districts have released new guidelines for January 12 and 13 with the health and safety of children in mind.
In Jaipur, courses up to the fifth grade will have vacations from January 12 to 13, and starting on January 14, classes 9 through 12 will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
On January 12 and 13, schools in Nagaur will not be open for lessons up to the fifth grade. Beginning on January 12, Dausa announced vacations for all pupils up to Class 8.
classrooms 1 through 5 are closed in Sikar, and from January 12 to 14, classrooms in Jalore up to the fifth grade will also be closed. Classes 1 through 8 vacations in Jhunjhunu have been extended till January 13.
Classes up to the fifth grade will not be held in Jhalawar/Junagarh on January 12 or 13. Monday is a holiday in Dungarpur, with classrooms from 1 to 8 closed.
Monday is a holiday for students in grades 1 through 8 in Hanumangarh, while Tuesday is the Lohri holiday. On January 14, schools will resume classes.
Until further notice, Ajmer’s schools, up to class 12, are open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Monday is a holiday for schools up to the eighth standard in Churu. All of the Jodhpur Division’s schools will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. In some places, the temperature has dropped as low as 3 to 4 degrees Celsius. Children are particularly susceptible because of the ongoing cold wave and fog.
Parents have been urged by authorities to make sure their kids are properly dressed for the cold and to be informed of any official notifications made at the district level.
