New Delhi:Basant Panchami is celebrated as the day of Mother Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, wisdom and knowledge. According to the calendar, the date of Basant Panchami will start on January 23 at 2:28 am and will end on January 24, 2026 at 1:46 am. In such a situation, on the basis of Udaya Tithi, the festival of Basant Panchami will be celebrated on 23 January 2026 only.

  • On the day of Basant Panchami, the auspicious time for worshiping Goddess Saraswati will be from 7:13 am to 12:33 pm.




  • The fourth bath of Magh Mela will also be held on the same day. Whereas Brahma Muhurta will be from 5:26 am to 6:20 am.

Yellow color is considered especially auspicious on Basant Panchami. Yellow color is considered a symbol of knowledge, purity and positive energy. This is the reason why there is a tradition of offering saffron sweet rice to Mother Saraswati on this day. It is believed that this increases intelligence and good fortune and the mind remains happy.
