Actor Akshay Oberoi will be next seen in the upcoming Yash starrer gangster action thriller ‘ Toxic ’. Recently, the ‘Fighter’ actor shared his experience of working on the Geetu Mohandas directorial. He went on to call working on the movie as one of the most demanding and exhilarating experiences of his career.



While speaking with IANS, the actor also talked about the choreography and action sequences of the film. He called it being on a “different scale” from the action films he had done before. “The action in Toxic is on a different scale altogether. I’ve done action in my earlier films, but what this film expected from me was nothing like, I’ve ever done before,” he said.



Weeks of intense training and preparationThe preparation for the action sequences was not easy either. The actor shared about training for weeks, as they demanded, “endurance, timing, and absolute mind–body sync”.



“The choreography, the detailing, the physical drills, everything was designed to build not just muscle but endurance, timing, and absolute mind–body sync. The director and action team had a very specific vision, and the world of Toxic has its own grammar of movement, its own rules. I trained for weeks to make sure I could deliver that,” he added.

About the film and star castSpeaking of the film, the movie is written by both Yash and Geetu Mohandas, with the female director helming the project. Yash plays Raya, who looks to be an unpolegetic and violent man. The movie will also include multiple female stars in strong role including Kiara Advani , Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth.



’Toxic’ is being made to cater to a global audience as the film is simultaneously being shot in English and Kannada. It will also include dubbed Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam versions. The music is given by Ravi Basrur , known for his powerful scores in ‘KGF’, ‘Salaar’ and more.



The film is set to release on March 19, 2026, clashing with Ranveer Singh starrer ‘ Dhurandhar 2 ’.
