Digital education is being promoted in girls' schools with the help of Social Welfare Department and Madad Foundation. Under the pilot project, tablets have been distributed to girl students of Gorakhpur and Maharajganj.

Lucknow. The Social Welfare Department has taken an important step with the aim of promoting inclusive development, digital literacy and technical empowerment of girl students. In this sequence, a coordination meeting and tablet distribution program was organized in collaboration with Madad Foundation at Bhagidari Bhawan located in Gomti Nagar on Tuesday.

On this occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Social Welfare Department and Madad Foundation, which will further expand the programs related to digital education for girl students in future.

Pilot scheme to provide tablets to girls' schools

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government is continuously taking forward the digitalization of education. Under this initiative, a total of 40 tablets were provided to the principals of Jayaprakash Narayan Sarvodaya Balika Vidyalaya, Gorakhpur and Maharajganj districts.

Each school has been given 20 tablets. This scheme has currently been started as a pilot project. Based on its success, the scope of tablet distribution will be extended to other girls' schools in future.

Digital education said to be the need of the hour

Minister of State for Social Welfare (Independent Charge) Aseem Arun and Madad Foundation Founder Rajesh Mani were present in the program. On this occasion, Minister Aseem Arun said that digital education has become an essential need of today's times.

He said that through technical resources, girl students will get better quality education and they will become self-reliant and confident. He described this initiative as in line with the spirit of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao and Digital India.

Education and women empowerment model of Yogi government

During the program, it was told that the Yogi government is connecting girl students with modern technology through smart classes, e-content, tablets, digital devices, skill development and career-oriented training.

The aim of the government is that girls should not only be educated but also become technically proficient and self-reliant citizens. Madad Foundation founder Rajesh Mani described this collaboration with the Social Welfare Department as a meaningful effort towards education and social upliftment.
