TV actress Rashmi Desai has opened up about the toughest time in her life. She suffered from depression for eight years, which is a long time. The actress, known for “Uttaran” and “Dil Se Dil Tak”, spoke about how carrying emotional baggage negatively affected her mental health, but gradually found solace and balance through work.


Speaking to Times Now about her long and difficult journey, Rashmi Desai said that her quick recovery was not easy. She rebuilt herself emotionally and professionally, but it took years of effort.


Rashmi, 39, a Bigg Boss 13 contestant, said, “There was a time when I was depressed for eight years. I was carrying a lot of burdens. It took years to shrink and start again. Now I am back. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Rashmi revealed that she faced the casting couch at the age of 16. She said, “I remember being called for the audition. When I went there, no one was there.
