Chinese manja accident: During the Makar Sankranti season, Chinese manja once again took life in Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh. Rahul, a 24-year-old youth, who was going to pick up his father, got a deadly ‘manja’ wrapped around his neck and he fell on the road and got seriously injured. Currently he is fighting for his life in ICU.

What happened on Guraiya bypass of Chhindwara?

A heart-wrenching incident came to light on Sunday at Guraiya Bypass in Chhindwara district. 24 year old Rahul had set out on a bike to bring his father home. Suddenly a dangerous Chinese manjha fluttering in the air came and wrapped itself around his neck.

The blade of the manjha was so sharp that in the blink of an eye Rahul’s neck was deeply cut. Due to pain and sudden shock, his bike went out of control and he fell on the road.

How serious is Rahul’s condition?

The condition of Rahul admitted in a private hospital is said to be very critical. According to Dr. Manan Gogia:

• broken bones: A rib and shoulder bone are broken due to the fall

• 15 stitches needed: Preparations were made for the operation late at night, in which about 15 stitches have to be placed.
