The discussion, which was attended by experts from the private sector and government representatives from the countries of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, addressed how to improve supply chain resilience across the Asia-Pacific area, according to the State Department.

The work done during the APEC 2025 Third Senior Officials Meeting in Incheon, South Korea, where participants stressed increasing involvement and suggested fresh strategies for interacting with the business sector, was built upon by this roundtable.

The United States’ statement of a long history of American leadership in fostering supply chain resilience via APEC and the A2C2 program is expanded upon by the Regional Roundtable.

Participants identified regional and worldwide best practices for supply chain digitization during the roundtable, which included public-private communication and cooperation. The implementation of such methods inside domestic systems was another topic of discussion.

According to US authorities, the initiative aims to increase cross-border trade’s dependability and efficiency for the benefit of American consumers and companies as well as those in the Asia-Pacific area.

APEC government officials and members of the private sector spoke on digitizing trade and customs processes. The talks placed a strong emphasis on business and government cooperation to guarantee that digital changes are workable and efficient in various economies.

The APEC Alliance for Supply Chain Connectivity was founded in 2014 and acts as a conduit of consultation for many stakeholders, including enterprises, industry groups, multilateral institutions, non-governmental organizations, and specialists from APEC countries. The organization supports the larger supply chain connectivity project of APEC.
