Justice Yashwant Verma Case Update: An update has come regarding the impeachment against Allahabad High Court judge Justice Yashwant Verma in the Delhi cash scandal case. Justice Yashwant Verma has filed his reply before the parliamentary committee formed regarding impeachment. According to sources, he has raised the question in his reply that if the government officials failed to keep the crime scene safe, then why should they face impeachment?

According to sources, in his reply before the parliamentary committee, Justice Verma has given many arguments in his defence. He has said that he was not the first person to reach the spot. When the police failed to secure the spot then how can they be held responsible?

Police did not seal the incident site

Justice Verma also said before the parliamentary committee that the police should have taken similar action as is required in fire incidents. The police present on the spot did not seal the incident site. Both police and fire brigade were present on the spot, but they did not take necessary action.

No recovery was made from the spot

In the reply filed to the parliamentary committee, Justice Yashwant Verma has also said that no recovery was made from the spot. Now it is being said that cash was recovered from there. When he himself was not present at the spot and was not a first responder, then how can he be held responsible for not securing the spot. At that time the place was under the control of the people who were present there. According to sources, Justice Verma has raised questions on the ongoing impeachment process against him on these grounds.

Supreme Court has reserved its decision

Let us tell you, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla had formed a parliamentary committee to impeach Justice Verma in the case. Justice Verma had also approached the Supreme Court regarding impeachment and formation of a parliamentary committee for this. After completion of the hearing on it, the Supreme Court has reserved its decision.
