With the cold and stormy weather, I've found myself wanting to stay in a little bit more and keep as cosy as possible. Sheepskin slippers always look so toasty, not to mention stylish enough to be seen in outside, but certain designer brands can come with a hefty price tag.

We think we've found a solid alternative for a fraction of the cost. The EverAu Australia Ibis sheepskin slippers are on offer at Debenhams, taking them from £67.99 to £40.80, which is the cheapest price we've found for this pair.

In a distinctive light brown suede, with a sheepskin cuff and lining, they should keep feet warm without feeling stiff or heavy. They have a sturdy sole, which adds structure, meaning they're not just for padding around the house. Several shoppers say they feel supportive enough for quick trips outside, like taking the bins out or popping to the car.

They are available in sizes three to nine, and at the time of writing, there is good stock in all sizes. For anyone who prefers a different look, they come in seven other colours, from classic shades of brown to pink and purple.

Debenhams' current reduction makes these especially tempting when you consider they're more expensive elsewhere. The same slippers are listed at a higher price at Mountain Warehouse, as well as on EverAu's own website. Some designer brands sell similar styles for over £100, making these at least £60 cheaper.

Customers have been left impressed: "Lovely warm comfy slippers just as gorgeous as the more expensive ones made in Australia, definitely recommend," wrote one reviewer. Another shopper added: "Fabulous slippers. Love them, [I] had Uggs before, these are just as good. Going to order more as presents."

However, there is one thing worth noting before buying. A noticeable number of reviews recommend sizing up, particularly if you plan to wear socks or prefer a roomier fit. One buyer shared: "Lovely warm slippers but a little difficult to get in. I think the next size up would have been too big."
