A well-known UK travel agency, Regen Central Ltd, which provided holiday packages inclusive of flights and hotels, has gone into liquidation, resulting in the cancellation of all its bookings.

Established in Hertfordshire in 2011, according to Companies House data, the British travel firm also traded under the names One Haji and Umrah, Regen Travels and Oneworld Travels. The company offered holidays and flight packages to various destinations across Europe and Southeast Asia.

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) announced on their website that the company had ceased trading as an Air Travel Organisers' Licence (ATOL) holder. ATOL, a scheme operated by the CAA, provides financial protection for package holidays, ensuring refunds or repatriation if the travel company goes bust.

However, accommodation-only and non-flight packages are not covered by ATOL, hence they do not offer the same refund protection.

The statement clarified: "We understand the company had no outstanding ATOL protected bookings. Bookings sold as accommodation only, non- flight packages, and flight only bookings for which tickets were issued are not protected by the ATOL scheme.As there are no outstanding ATOL-protected bookings, no refunds will be issued.The statement further advised: "If you believe you are owed a refund for an ATOL protected booking, under Regen Central Ltd. 's ATOL, please contact us via email at claims@caa.co.uk

According to the CAA website, additional UK-based travel firms that have ceased trading over the past year include Ickenham Travel Group Ltd, Great Little Escapes LLP, and Jetline Travel Ltd.
