CM Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the tragic death of engineer Yuvraj Mehta in Noida. A 3-member SIT has been formed under the leadership of ADG Meerut, which will submit the investigation report in 5 days. Instructions have also been given to identify accident prone places in the state.

3-member SIT formed on the orders of the Chief Minister

Chief Minister Yogi has ordered a high-level inquiry into the death of engineer Yuvraj Mehta. A three-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed under the leadership of ADG Zone Meerut. Divisional Commissioner Meerut and Chief Engineer of Public Works Department (PWD) have also been included in this team. SIT has been instructed to conduct a complete investigation and submit the report to the Chief Minister within five days.

Instructions to identify accident prone areas

Not limiting himself to just this one incident, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued important instructions for the entire state. He has said that all such places should be identified across the state where there is a possibility of accidents. The danger should be eliminated by taking immediate corrective steps at these places, so that no one's life is at risk in future.

The administration should ensure that such incidents do not happen again.

CM Yogi has told the officials in clear words that recurrence of such incidents will not be accepted at any cost. Negligence on issues like road safety, waterlogging, open drains and dark roads will not be tolerated. Instructions have been given to the administration that concrete action should be visible at the ground level.

How did the accident happen, which shocked everyone

This tragic accident happened on January 16 at around 12 o'clock in the night. Yuvraj Mehta, who was working as a software engineer in Gurugram, was heading towards Tata Society located in Sector-150, Noida. On the way, suddenly his car fell into a deep, water-filled drain. The darkness and waterlogging was so severe that he did not even get a chance to recover and he lost his life on the spot.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed deep condolences on the untimely demise of Yuvraj Mehta. Expressing his condolences to the family members, he assured that the government will take action in this matter with full seriousness and the truth will be brought out.
