A vehicle from actor Akshay Kumar’s convoy was involved in a serious road accident in Mumbai on Monday evening (January 19). The incident occurred when Akshay Kumar and his wife Twinkle Khanna were returning to their Juhu residence from the airport.



According to initial reports, Akshay Kumar was travelling ahead in his own car as part of a convoy when one of his escort vehicles was hit from behind by an auto-rickshaw. It is alleged that the auto-rickshaw was first struck by another car coming from behind, causing it to lose control and ram into Akshay Kumar’s escort vehicle. The impact was so severe that the front portion of the auto-rickshaw was completely damaged, while the escort car reportedly lifted onto two tyres due to the force of the collision.



Following the accident, Akshay Kumar’s manager and personal security personnel immediately stepped out of their vehicle to assess the situation. The auto-rickshaw driver sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a hospital for treatment. However, a passenger travelling in the auto-rickshaw escaped unhurt.



The accident took place around 9 pm near Silver Cafe in Mumbai’s Juhu area.




Auto-Rickshaw Badly Damaged



Police and civic officials reached the spot shortly after the incident and brought the situation under control. Videos circulating online from the accident site show the escort car tilted to one side, while the auto-rickshaw appears severely crushed and badly damaged.
