Karpaka Vinayakar Temple is one of the most ancient pilgrimage sites dedicated to Lord Ganesha in our country. Bhagwan’s deity in this temple is believed to be 1,600 years old and it is made up of a single stone. The right curved trunk of Vighnaharta in Karpaka temple is a symbol of Bhagwan’s boundless power and kindness towards sincere devotees. Indeed, it is strongly believed that the Lord fulfils the wishes of his true followers like the divine Karpaka Vriksha or wish-fulfilling tree.
4. Siddhivinayak Temple in Siddhatek
This temple has a 3-foot stone idol of Bhagwan Ganesha. Furthermore, like the Karpaka Vinayakar Temple, the trunk of the Lord is turned towards the right side representing immense power. Being one among the sacred Ashtavinayaka temples, the legend goes that, this temple was built by Lord Vishnu. However, over the years it got destroyed till a cowherd received a profound realisation about the ancient temple, resulting in the re-construction of the icon of Siddhivinayakar. It is said that there are no obstacles that cannot be destroyed with the support of the Bhagwan residing in this temple.
