A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, a spin-off series which takes place 7 decades after House of the Dragon and 9 decades before Game of Thrones, has debuted its first episode.

The HBO show, which is airing on Sky and NOW in the UK, already has fans talking about its stunning scenery.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms follows lowly hedge knight Ser Duncan the Tall (Peter Claffey) on his travels through Westeros to enter a life-changing tournament.

On the way, he meets a young squire named Egg (Dexter Sol Ansell), who joins him on his epic quest for greatness.

But where in the UK was the new historical drama shot? Here's a breakdown of all the filming locations.

The HBO drama was primarily filmed in Belfast, Northern Ireland, which was also a popular location for filming Game of Thrones scenes.

This includes the famous Titanic Studios, which acted as the main studio for most interior sets, such as tournament preparation rooms, inns and castle halls.

Some stunning castles in Northern Ireland were also used during filming, including Myra Castle in County Down and Glenarm Castle in County Antrim.

Locals might also recognise shots from Hen Mountain in the Mournes Cave Hill in Belfast, the Hidden Village of Galboly in the Glens of Antrim and Tollymore Forest Park.

Unlike Game of Thrones' other prequel series, House of the Dragon, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms relies on only minimal CGI.

This allows the comedy-drama, which is set in an era of relative peace time, to show off the rugged beauty of Westeros.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is based on George R. R. Martin's Tales of Dunk Egg novellas.

There are three books in total - The Hedge Knight, The Sworn Sword and The Mystery Knight - meaning Northern Ireland should expect camera crews to return in the near future.

Season two was already greenlit prior to launch, with filming commencing back in December 2025.
