3. Protein with heavy starchesMeat with heavy starches can be hard on your gut. Protein digests slowly such as starches and requires enzymes to break down the digestion process. Mixing down together can cause slow digestion, bloating and gas. The stomach needs time or works harder to digest two type complex food together, which can lead to incomplete digestion.
