A tourist in the Cotswolds has confessed to making a major mistake during her visit earlier this week. Georgia Sweet took to TikTok to recount how her picturesque ramble went pear-shaped in the south-west. Of course, Gloucestershire and its neighbouring counties have been battered by a bitterly cold and soggy start to 2026, something she learned the hard way.

"Very unprepared," Georgia admitted, sharing a video of herself and a friend navigating a sludgy woodland trail whilst wearing pristine white trainers. The duo then had no choice but to attempt rinsing their shoes in a stream. "Should have brought some wellies," she conceded with the benefit of hindsight.

Reacting online, one TikTok viewer gasped: "Nah I'd be fuming in the [trainers brand] New Balance."

And a second noted: "That's why I always keep wellies in my car."

Still, it wasn't all doom and gloom for the pair, as Georgia showcased in a follow-up clip.

"POV [point of view] - you find the cutest lodge in the Cotswolds," she gushed, flaunting her digs' outdoor setup complete with a sizeable hot tub nestled beneath a shelter and several loungers.

"We had such a relaxing time here! Would 100% recommend if you're looking for a winter break."

Inside, the lodge boasted a snug atmosphere, kitted out with all the essentials for an idyllic winter getaway. "So wholesome," one TikTok penned in reply.
