He alleged that even today many big leaders, who call themselves religious, have not gone to Ram temple due to fear of Muslim votes. Nirupam called it unfortunate and somewhat ridiculous.
He said that India is a secular country, where all religions should be respected, but it is not right to hurt the sentiments of the majority community.
On the issue to Shankaracharya, Sanjay Nirupam said that he respects all Shankaracharyas, especially Swami Avimukteshwarananda. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also holds him in high regard, and Shankaracharya blessed him when the cow was given the status of ‘Rajmata’ in Maharashtra.
On the incidents that took place during Mauni Amavasya in Prayagraj, he said that crores of people had come to take bath and it was the responsibility of the police to maintain law and order during this period. However, he said that Shankaracharyas should be respected.
At the same time, regarding I-Pack, Sanjay Nirupam said that the new revelation that has come out is very explosive.
He alleged that I-PAC is an organization that provides strategic advice to different political parties, plays an important role in the selection and victory of candidates, and also charges huge sums of money for it.
Nirupam told news agency IANS that earlier the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had raided the office of I-PAC, over which some political parties had expressed displeasure and called it an attack on the party office.
Now, according to the new case that has come to light, I-PACK had taken an unsecured loan of about Rs 13 crore from a Haryana company. When investigation was done, it was found that the company in whose name this loan was shown does not exist in Haryana. Describing it as a direct case of money laundering, Nirupam said that this could be an attempt to convert money from black to white.
He demanded that strict action should be taken in this matter under ED and PMLA law and a thorough investigation should be done against the people responsible for I-Pac and their entire team.
