Good news for 10th-pass youth looking for government jobs! According to media reports, India Post is expected to release a notification soon for a large number of Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) positions across the country. Once the notification is released, candidates will be able to fill out the application form on the official website indiapost.gov.in within the specified dates. Applications will only be accepted online; no other mode of application will be accepted.
Eligibility for GDS Posts
To be eligible for this recruitment, the candidate must be an Indian citizen.
The candidate must have passed 10th/Matriculation from a recognized board/institution.
They must have obtained passing marks in Mathematics and English.
The candidate's minimum age should not be less than 18 years, and the maximum age should not be more than 40 years.
Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be given age relaxation as per rules.
Selection will be based on merit.
All candidates should note that there is no written examination or interview process for this recruitment. Selection will be based on a merit list.
Candidates shortlisted based on their educational qualifications will be included in the merit list. However, candidates who make it to the merit list will have to participate in document verification.
Salary for selected candidates
Candidates selected for Branch Post Master (BPM) positions through this recruitment will receive a salary of Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 29,380 per month. Candidates selected for Assistant Branch Post Master (ABPM/Dak Sevak) positions will receive a salary of Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 24,470 per month.
