Back with a bang, ' Mankatha ' reinterprets nostalgia, after 15 years, in theaters. The movie first hit screens in 2011 and was, in fact, Ajith ’s 50th film in a lead role. 'Mankatha' has become a cult classic over the years. The film ran to full houses, which created a carnival-like atmosphere in theatres across Tamil Nadu.

While the re-release was celebrated with enthusiam, film director Venkat Prabhu opened up with a sincere but brief post on social media that would leave people curious about what he had to share about the film. Along with a retro photo of Thala Ajith and Thalapathy Vijay , he posted about the day that he was munching on 'Mankatha' for the second time and celebrating. He finally said that this scene actually occurred in real life while they were shooting for the film. It remains one of his most special moments.
