The state government has entered into a historic agreement (MoU) with AM Green Group, under which the country's largest and most advanced AI data center will be set up in Greater Noida.
The result of Yogi government's visionary thinking is that AM Green Group is going to make a huge investment of Rs 2.27 lakh crore in Uttar Pradesh. This is one of the largest investments in the data center sector in the history of the country.
- Huge Capacity: The capacity of this state-of-the-art center will be 1 gigawatt (GW).
- Development in two stages: This project will be completed in two parts. The first part of the AI infrastructure hub will be operational by 2028, while it will reach its full capacity by 2030.
The center will be equipped with 5 lakh high-tech chipsets
This data center will not be just a building, but the center of future technology. About 5 lakh high-performance chipsets will be installed in it. This facility will strengthen hyperscalers and India's own AI (Sovereign AI) initiatives. This will also give chipset access to Indian developers, which will accelerate the development of new AI solutions in the country.
Yogi government's policies caught the world's attention
AM Green Group cited its data center policy, strong industrial corridor and excellent connectivity as the biggest reasons for choosing Uttar Pradesh.
- Completely Eco-Friendly: This project will be completely based on 'carbon-free green energy' (wind and solar energy). This is a living example of the Yogi government's policy of environmental protection and sustainable development.
- Employment Opportunities: This investment will not only bring huge amount of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), but will also open new doors of skilled employment for millions of youth.
UP will become India's 'AI hub'
Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna said that important discussions have also taken place in Davos with other big companies (like Reliant, Cognizant and Jubilant Bharatiya Group). AM Green Group Chairman Anil Chalmalasetti and President Mahesh Kolli have praised the support of Yogi government and called it a revolutionary step towards digital economy.
