Harry Styles is back with new music to move to.
On January 22, he released Aperturea dreamy electronic dance track, marking his first single in three years.
The song leads his upcoming fourth album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally., set for March 6.
Styles shared the release on Instagram, posting a photo of himself in under-eye patches while sipping a Big Gulp.
What does aperture mean?
As for those who don’t know what Harry Styles Aperture refers to, it nods to photography; Aperture is a camera setting that controls how much light hits a camera lens.
The song bringsthe concept into its lyrics, with Styles crooning in the prechorus, “It’s best you know what you don’t/aperture lets the light in.”
Meanwhile, fans have also joked about its dictionary meaning: “an opening or gap.”

Styles revealed the inspiration behind his new single Aperture in an interview with Capital Breakfast.
After years of touring, he decided to embrace spontaneity, saying, “Last year, I was like, ‘I’m going to say yes to everything this year.’”
Traveling to Ibiza, Italy, and Berlin, Styles experienced life on the other side of the audience, soaking in the energy of live music. That sense of freedom and joy influenced the track’s sound.
“Just being able to be in a crowd … feeling safe enough to get a little loose and dance,” he said, shaping an album meant to be both fun to make and perform.
