Washed green moong dal 1 cup, cottage cheese half cup, white sesame seeds 1 teaspoon, green chilli 1 finely chopped, ginger 1 small piece, cumin half teaspoon, turmeric half teaspoon, salt as per taste, green coriander


How to make Moong Dal Appe?



  • Soak the green lentils overnight. While cooking, grind the soaked green moong dal with ginger and green chillies in a mixer.

  • Do not dilute the paste too much. Now, add salt, turmeric, cumin, sesame seeds and green coriander to this batter.

  • Heat the pan, apply a little oil. Take a ladle of batter and spread it round, add grated cheese on top and press lightly.

  • Cook on medium flame until golden on both sides. Serve hot with green chutney, curd or tomato chutney.
