Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav targeted the UP government over the developments to Shankaracharya Avimukteshwarananda. Akhilesh Yadav said in a press conference on Saturday, “Those who remember Kalanemi, tell us who is the Kalanemi of Kalyug. Kalanemi comes in the form of time.”

He alleged that the government was making political use of religious issues. Akhilesh Yadav also raised serious questions on the role of the Election Commission regarding the Special Intensive Review (SIR).

He said that why the political parties are not being informed about the people to whom notices are being given under SIR? The Election Commission is not impartial and is working in collusion with the government. The officials are colluding with the government to sabotage the electoral process.

The SP chief said that he was assured that no name would be left out in the voter list after the SIR, but the situation was different during the by-elections. He alleged that votes were looted in the by-election and despite the presence of CCTV footage, the Election Commission had made it clear that the footage would not be given to any political party.

Akhilesh Yadav said that many types of conspiracies are being hatched through SIR. He raised questions on the training of Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and said that the way the training was given, many BLOs lost their lives, but no accountability was fixed on it.

He alleged that two votes are being created with the same name in the voter list and duplicate data is being entered. Referring to Kannauj Sadar Assembly seat, Akhilesh claimed that around 200 fake voters have been found there.

The SP chief demanded that the Election Commission cooperate with political parties and the entire process should be made transparent. He also reiterated the demand to link the voter list with Aadhaar and stop duplicate voters.

Akhilesh Yadav said that confusion is being spread among the public regarding SIAR and this process seems less like SIR and more like NRC, in which people are being forced to prove their citizenship.

On the issue of Shankaracharya Avimukteshwarananda, Akhilesh Yadav said that Samajwadi Party is in constant touch with him and talks are being held with him. He is a real Sanatani and the government should act with restraint and sensitivity in this entire matter.

Akhilesh Yadav also raised the issue of caste census. He said that there is talk of census on the basis of caste, but correct and complete census of all castes is not being conducted. He said that the first bread in his house is given to the cow.

He claimed that the country’s first cow milk plant in Kannauj was set up during the Samajwadi Party government, which was closed by the present government. He alleged that the present government is only pretending on the issue of cow and cow service. He said that if SP government is formed, cow milk will be purchased and distributed among the public.

Referring to the recent road accident in Noida, Akhilesh Yadav said that emergency services like Dial-100 have been weakened. He alleged that when such services are ruined, such incidents will happen. He demanded that first of all action should be taken against senior officials in this matter, because a father lost his son’s life in front of him.

Apart from this, Akhilesh Yadav raised the issue to health problems after Covid vaccination and said that the data of deaths and diseases after vaccination should be made public and a comprehensive study should be done on it. On the question of removing the tomb from KGMU, he said that the government should also remove KGMU because it was built by Christians.
