Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has extended hearty congratulations and best wishes to the people of the state on the occasion of National Tourism Day celebrated on 25th January. In his greeting message, he said that tourism is not only an important basis of the economy of the country and the state, but it is also a powerful medium to give global recognition to our rich cultural heritage, natural beauty and historical heritage.

Chief Minister Sai said that through tourism, people get an opportunity to get acquainted with the local culture, geographical diversity, natural beauty, historical and wonderful places. Besides, this sector plays an important role in economic empowerment by creating new employment and livelihood opportunities for thousands of families.

Sai said that the objective of National Tourism Day is to underline the importance of tourism industry and increase public awareness about it, so that the country and the state can get continuous economic benefits through tourism. India is famous worldwide for its diversity, traditions and cultural splendor. Every region of the country has its own unique identity and glorious background, which can be conveyed to the country and abroad through tourism.

Chief Minister Sai called upon the people of the state to take active participation in the conservation and promotion of the rich cultural heritage, natural beauty and tourist places of Chhattisgarh and to participate in the development of the state by promoting tourism.
