    For this report, Antler analyzed 1,629 unicorn companies and 3,512 founders globally. This trend is exclusively limited to the AI ​​sector. The average age of founders of startups that became unicorns in 2014 was 30 years, while between 2022 and 2024 the average age of those achieving unicorn status will increase to 34 years.


    22 year old founder and $10 billion valuation
    AI-based talent and recruitment platform Mercer is also an example of this trend. This startup was co-founded by Brendan Foody, Adarsh ​​Hiremath and Surya Midha and all three are currently just 22 years of age. Recently Mercer’s valuation was estimated at more than $10 billion. This growing role of young founders reflects the rapidly changing nature of the AI ​​sector.
