New Delhi: Crores of farmers of the country, after receiving the 21st installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, are now eagerly waiting for the next i.e. 22nd installment. This scheme, which helps in small and big expenses of farming, is a big financial support for the farmers. But, meanwhile, a big question is whether those farmers who work hard in others’ fields will also get the benefit of this scheme? Let us know what the government rules say about sharecroppers or farmers doing farming on rent. Why will those doing sharecropping not get money? Understand the rules: In rural India, there is a very large section of farmers who grow crops on the land of others, which is called sharecropping or share farming. Often this question arises that when these farmers work hard, will they get ₹ 2000 for the 22nd installment? According to the government rules, the direct answer is – No. The benefit of PM Kisan Yojana can be availed only by those farmers in whose name cultivable land is registered in the government records i.e. revenue records (Khatauni). Since sharecropper farmers are not land owners, they are technically not eligible for this scheme. Beware of social media rumors, only ‘land owners’ are entitled. These days a rumor is being spread on social media that the government will now give PM Kisan money to farmers without land, but this claim is completely false. Farmers have to clearly understand that the first and essential condition of this scheme is ‘Land Ownership’. That is, it is necessary to be the owner of the land. Initially, this scheme was only for small farmers, which was later opened for all landholding farmers, but having the land in your name is still the most important rule. To get the 22nd installment, complete these 2 important tasks immediately. It is very important for the farmers waiting for the 22nd installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi to know that the money for the next installment does not get stuck. It is estimated that the government will release the next installment only after the Union Budget to be presented on 1 February 2026. To ensure that the money comes into your account without any interruption, complete these two tasks immediately: e-KYC: Those farmers who have not yet got their e-KYC done, their installments may get stopped. You can complete this by visiting your nearest CSC center or by visiting the official portal of PM Kisan. Land Verification: It is also mandatory to get physical verification of your agricultural records i.e. land verification done. For this, you can contact your nearest agriculture office or accountant. If both these processes are incomplete, the money for your 22nd installment may get stuck even if you are eligible.
