Once the plug is removed, water gushes out dramatically, prompting someone to urge: "Please drain your doors. Drain your doors people... c'mon."

The footage sparked widespread astonishment, with countless viewers questioning whether it was genuine.

One person said: "Can't tell if this is for real or y'all are playing along, and another replied: " whilst another confirmed: "It's very real also need to drain your chassis rails sometimes."

A third viewer added: "I swear I learn something new every day!" whilst someone else questioned: "What... how come I have never heard about this? ? ?".

Rainwater or moisture from car washes can seep past window seals and accumulate inside doors, with the liquid designed to escape through drainage holes at the base.

However, these openings can become blocked by road grime or debris, requiring manual draining.

The holes are typically located at the bottom of doors, though they may appear in different positions depending on the vehicle.

According to the motoring website Cars.com, numerous cars feature drainage panels within the sill panels and rear quarter sections, both positioned close to the doors.

Cars may also possess drain openings located underneath the windscreen and adjacent to the boot to prevent water from accumulating in these spots.

To check for a blockage, direct a hosepipe over the windscreen, boot and doors - then observe whether the water flows away correctly.

If it pools or empties sluggishly, you might have an obstruction. A garden hosepipe could provide sufficient force to clear debris from drainage openings.
