CM Yogi Adityanath reviewed Ganga Expressway, Jewar Airport, irrigation, energy, education and logistics projects in the high-level meeting. CM Yogi directed to complete all the schemes in a timely and quality manner.

Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the progress of major infrastructure, irrigation, energy, education and industrial development projects of the state in a high-level review meeting on Sunday.

The Chief Minister said that mega development projects are rapidly making Uttar Pradesh a hub of economic prosperity and investment. Completing all these projects in a timely and quality manner is the top priority of the government.

Ganga Expressway: Instructions to complete by February 2026

Reviewing the Ganga Expressway project, the Chief Minister directed that its construction work should be compulsorily completed by the end of February 2026. This 594 km long expressway will give historical strength to the connectivity of the state and will become a strong base for industry, agriculture and logistics.

It was told in the meeting that this expressway passes through 12 districts and will directly benefit more than 500 villages. Road quality is being tested using modern technical parameters like Roughness Index and Riding Comfort Index. Way-side amenities, rest areas, road safety features, signage and access control systems are being developed as per high standards.

Central Ganga Canal Project to strengthen irrigation and agriculture

Reviewing the Middle Ganga Canal Project (Stage-2), the Chief Minister said that irrigation projects are the main means of increasing the income of farmers and increasing agricultural production. With the completion of this project, irrigation facilities will be expanded in the large agricultural area of ​​Amroha, Moradabad and Sambhal districts, which will strengthen the rural economy.

Erich Irrigation Project: Water Security Initiative in Bundelkhand

In the review of Erich Irrigation Project, it was told that this scheme is an important step towards ensuring water conservation, irrigation and drinking water availability in the Bundelkhand region. The Chief Minister directed to complete the incomplete works related to the project soon so that sustainability of agricultural operations and better management of water resources can be ensured.

Energy security strengthened by Rihand-Obra hydropower projects

Reviewing the hydro power projects of Rihand and Obra areas, the Chief Minister said that energy security is essential for industrial development. It was informed in the meeting that the pumped storage based projects being developed here will be helpful in meeting future energy needs and better utilization of renewable energy.

Jewar Airport: Instructions to speed up land acquisition for Phase-3

While reviewing Noida International Airport, Jewar, the Chief Minister directed to take forward the land acquisition process for Phase-3. He said that Jewar Airport will become a major center for global connectivity, investment and employment generation in the state. It was told in the meeting that with the operation of the first phase, more than one crore passengers will get modern facilities every year. With the inauguration of the airport, Uttar Pradesh will create a new identity as an air cargo hub.

Focus on multimodal logistics hub in Greater Noida

Reviewing the progress of Multimodal Logistics Hub and Multimodal Transport Hub of Greater Noida, the Chief Minister gave instructions to expedite the works. He asked to maintain constant dialogue with the Central Government ministries on related issues including railway station construction. The Chief Minister said that strong logistics infrastructure will reduce the cost of industries and Uttar Pradesh will become a major center of manufacturing and supply chain.

Review of Chief Minister Model Composite School Scheme

Reviewing the Chief Minister Model Composite School Scheme, the Chief Minister described it as a visionary initiative towards quality and modern education. 150 model schools will be established in 75 districts of the state, which will have modern classrooms, science laboratories, digital learning, sports and co-educational facilities.

The Chief Minister directed that where land selection is still pending, the process should be completed immediately with the cooperation of the local administration, so that the scheme can be implemented on time. In the meeting, emphasis was also laid on expediting the works of Chilla elevated flyover.

Discussion on rail connectivity and industrial corridor

Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor and Bahraich-Shrawasti-Balrampur-Siddharthnagar-Santkabirnagar new rail line project were discussed in the meeting. It was told that this rail project is an important step towards connecting the border and aspirational districts with the rail network. The Chief Minister directed the District Magistrates to ensure availability of land as per the project. This project will bring major improvement in regional development, trade and passenger convenience.

CM Yogi's emphasis on timely and quality development

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that development in Uttar Pradesh means not just construction but also timely, quality and public-utility projects. He instructed the officials to speed up the work by regularly reviewing all the major projects, so that the development journey of the state continues to strengthen.
