Tricolor Sweets: For the special occasion of Republic Day, make a delicious tricolor sweet at home, which will delight not only children but adults as well. Layered in saffron, white, and green, this sweet is as beautiful as it tastes. Best of all, it’s incredibly easy to make and doesn’t require many ingredients or time. Let’s take note of the recipe.


Ingredients for Tricolor Sweets:

One cup sugar, one cup milk powder, one big cup coconut powder, a pinch of cardamom, and food color, two spoons ghee


How to Make Tricolor Sweets:

Step 1: To make the tricolor sweets, first turn on the gas stove and place a pan on it. Once the pan is hot, add two tablespoons of ghee. 


Step 2: Now, add one cup of water to the ghee along with one cup of sugar. Now, make a thick sugar syrup. When the sugar has completely dissolved and the syrup has thickened, add one cup of milk powder. 


Step 3: Now, mix the milk powder thoroughly into the sugar syrup mixture. Once the milk is well combined, add the coconut powder and cardamom powder and mix well.  


Fourth Step: When the coconut powder turns golden red, turn off the gas. Now, let the mixture cool down. When the mixture cools down, divide it into three parts. 


Step 5: Now, mix one part green and one part orange. Stack these three parts on top of each other, matching the colors of the tricolor flag, and roll them out with a rolling pin. 


Step 6: Use a knife to cut it into barfi shapes. Place it in the refrigerator to set. Your tricolor barfi is ready.
