News India Live, Digital Desk: It was felt in Bangladesh that peace would probably return after the change of power, but it does not seem to be happening. The politics there has once again become heated. The reason is former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. For the first time after leaving the country, some such things have come to light from Sheikh Hasina’s side, which have not only surprised the current Mohammad Yunus government, but have also made them feel deeply ‘insulted’. What did Hasina say? The matter is very interesting. Sheikh Hasina, who is currently out of the country, is not keeping quiet. Recently, the way he broke his silence and commented on the current situation has set the rulers in Dhaka on edge. If reports are to be believed, Hasina has clearly indicated that her removal was a conspiracy and has raised questions on the legitimacy of the current government. Her statement that “the government is not being run as it should be,” has directly hurt the Yunus administration. Yunus government said – “This is too much!” Responding to Sheikh Hasina’s statements, the interim government of Bangladesh has expressed strong objection. Government representatives say they are extremely “shocked and insulted” by these things. They believe that the leader who had to leave the country after huge public protest, is now trying to destabilize the new system of the country by sitting outside. Yunus government argues that they are trying to bring the country back on track, but old things and Hasina’s statements are creating confusion among the public. They are considering this as an insult to the new beginning of the country. It is not just a statement, it is a fight for supremacy. If we look closely at this entire incident, it is not just a game of words. This is an indication that Sheikh Hasina has not yet accepted defeat. She wants to send a message to her supporters that the story is not over yet. At the same time, the challenge for Nobel laureate Mohammad Yunus is twofold – on one hand, to handle the country’s deteriorating economy and law and order, and on the other hand, to respond to Sheikh Hasina’s political attacks. What will happen next? The common people of Bangladesh are suffering the most at this time. On one hand they have expectations from the new government, on the other hand the shadow of the old government is still not leaving them. This new “outburst” by Sheikh Hasina suggests that the coming days could be very turbulent for the politics of Bangladesh. This tension between the two sides does not seem to be subsiding any time soon.
