Fatty Liver has become a dangerous disease which often takes a serious form without any initial symptoms. This disease begins gradually due to accumulation of fat in the liver, which can damage this organ over time. This problem is no longer just to drinking alcohol, but has become more common due to modern lifestyle.
According to research, cases of fatty liver have taken the form of an epidemic in India. Almost every third person is suffering from this disease. Especially in urban areas and for people who have diabetes or obesity, this risk increases even more. The surprising thing is that many people who are fit and slim in appearance are also becoming victims of fatty liver.
Fatty liver is called a silent disease because no specific symptoms are seen in its initial stages. The liver does not have the ability to feel pain, so this disease progresses without any warning. Often, by the time symptoms like fatigue, heaviness in the stomach or weight loss appear, the disease has progressed significantly.
The main cause of fatty liver is today’s lifestyle. Working while sitting for hours, processed and sweet food, less physical activity, and constant stress are becoming the main causes of this disease. According to doctors, most of the cases of fatty liver are now occurring in the form of Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD), which is now called Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease.
According to doctors, there is no effective treatment for fatty liver other than detox drinks and supplements. The real treatment is a balanced diet, regular exercise, weight control and stress. Apart from this, focus should also be on doing strength training 2-3 days a week, saving muscle and consuming enough protein in every meal.
