If you are constantly facing problems in making Aadhaar card and proving your identity, then the solution to your problem is coming soon. Your smartphone will now act as your digital identity card, eliminating the need to carry your Aadhaar card with you always. Also, you will no longer have to visit Aadhaar centers to update your number and address in Aadhaar.
UIDAI has informed that it is going to introduce the new and complete version of Aadhaar App on January 28. Many important features are limited in the Aadhaar App currently in use, but after the update all these features will be activated. This will increase the usage of the app, and it will no longer be just a document showing app, but will become a complete digital solution for identity verification.
According to UIDAI, the most important feature of this update is freedom from physical Aadhaar card. After the launch of the new version, there will be no need to carry Aadhaar card for identity verification, and users will be able to easily do identity verification through their mobile.
There will be many major changes in the new Aadhaar App. Notably, users will be able to easily verify not just their own Aadhaar, but also the Aadhaar of any other person. Currently, this app is limited to only showing your Aadhaar or sharing information through QR code.
Earlier, there was a problem in verifying the validity of Aadhaar by scanning the QR code, which sometimes led to delays in verification. But with the new features, Aadhaar verification will be made faster, simpler and reliable, allowing identification tasks to be completed at various locations within minutes.
In the new Aadhaar App, users will get the ability to update name, mobile number, email address and address in their Aadhaar card themselves.
