Sophie Devine led the Gujarat Giants to a 3-run win in Match 17 of the Women’s Premier League 2026. DC needed 9 runs in the last over, but the New Zealand all-rounder conceded just 5 runs and dismissed two batters to secure her team’s fourth win.

Delhi were almost out of the game, with six wickets down on a score of 100 runs. Niki Prasad and Sneh Rana added 70 runs for the seventh wicket to GG under pressure. Niki scored 47 runs off 24 balls, laced with 9 boundaries. On the other hand, Sneh posted 29 runs off 15 deliveries, packed with 3 boundaries and 2 sixes.

However, they couldn’t go past Devine, who bowled a match-winning over once again, restricting the rivals to 171/8. Overall, Sophie took 4 wickets while Rajeshwari Gayakwad dismissed three batters.

Earlier, Beth Mooney (58), Anushka Sharma (39) and Tanuja Kanwar (21) helped the Giants to post 174/9 in the allotted 20 overs.
