News India Live, Digital Desk: Green kebab is a starter which not only looks amazing but is also very beneficial for health. Made of lots of vegetables, spinach and peas, this kebab is so soft that it is a perfect choice for children’s lunch box. Often more oil is used in making kebab, but today we are telling you the method of shallow frying (frying in less oil) on the pan, which will keep it healthy. It will take just 15 to 20 minutes to make and your kids will lick the entire tiffin. Super-Healthy ‘Hara-Bhara Kebab’ for Kids’ Lunch Box (Recipe) Ingredients: IngredientsQuantityFresh spinach leaves (washed) 1 cup Boiled green peas 1/2 cup Boiled potatoes 2 medium sized cheese (grated) 1/4 Cup ginger-garlic paste 1 tsp green chilli (finely chopped, optional) 1/2 tsp (or as per taste) coriander leaves (chopped) 2 tbsp bread crumbs (or corn flour) 2 to 3 tbsp (for binding) oil for frying (very little) salt as per taste garam masala/chaat masala 1/2 tsp Recipe: Preparation: Mash the boiled potatoes. Now in a big bowl, mix mashed potatoes, coarsely ground spinach-peas, grated cheese and finely chopped green chillies and coriander leaves. Spices and binding: Add ginger-garlic paste, salt, garam masala (or chaat masala) and bread crumbs (or corn flour) and mix well. Keep in mind that the mixture should not be too wet. Shape the kebab: Now take a little mixture in your hand and shape it into a round tikki or kebab. Cook (shallow fry): Take a non-stick pan and add a little oil (only 1-2 teaspoons) and heat it. When the oil is hot, slowly place the kebabs in the pan. Roast: Cook the kebabs on low flame until they become golden brown and crispy on both sides, turning them repeatedly. This process will take about 5-7 minutes. For Tiffin: When the kebabs are cooked, take them out on kitchen paper to remove excess oil. Pack in tiffin only when it cools down slightly. Method of serving: Give these healthy Hara-Bhara Kebabs with green chutney or tomato ketchup in children’s tiffin. Apart from being nutritious, it is also so tasty that the tiffin box will come back completely empty.
