It is known that Gmail is the most affected by this password leak. It is feared that the passwords of 4.8 million accounts of Google’s email service platform have been leaked. 1 crore 70 lakh Facebook accounts, 65 lakh Instagram accounts, 34 lakh Netflix accounts, 4 million Yahoo accounts and 15 lakh Outlook accounts may have been exposed. Apart from this, the login details of crypto wallets, banking and credit cards have also become public.


These passwords are stored unsecured in an open database. That is, hackers can grab this information at any time. As a result, many crimes like identity theft, financial fraud are likely to occur. Just as ordinary users can be put in danger due to huge data leaks, big companies and even national security can be disrupted.
