New Delhi: Given the recent rise in heart attack cases at a young age, a doctor has warned about a common but dangerous mistake made at night. According to Dr. Aditi Sharma, internal medicine specialist, snoring is not just a sleep problem, but it can be a sign of serious danger to the heart.



He said that even in the age of 20 and 30, if a person looks healthy, this habit can increase the risk of heart attack. Dr. Aditi shared the example of a 29-year-old youth on social media.

The doctor told that this young man was completely fit, used to go to the gym and was not suffering from any disease. His only problem was that he would snore loudly at night. Family and friends considered it normal and even made fun of it. The young man also did not take it seriously.

This process happens every night and gradually damages the heart. Doctor Aditi says that this is the reason why even youth are becoming victims of heart attacks these days. He clarified that this is not happening only due to stress or mobile phones. People are ignoring the warning that the body is giving, and that warning is snoring.

The doctor advised that if a person snores regularly, it should not be taken lightly. By taking timely precautions, serious diseases can be avoided in future.


He also suggested some solutions. First of all, snoring should be checked. It is necessary to improve the sleeping position. If you are overweight, you should lose weight. Also, sleep apnea should also be checked. According to the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute, sleep apnea is a serious condition.


If there are repeated interruptions in breathing while sleeping, the body does not get enough oxygen. Therefore, it is very important to consult a doctor on time.
