Citrome is one of the most important early-game resources you’ll need as you begin your journey in Arknights: Endfield. This naturally occurring plant item plays a role in several crafting and progression systems, and knowing how to find and farm it efficiently can save you time and frustration. Citrome is classed as a natural, gatherable plant resource in Arknights: Endfield. It appears early in the game and is used in crafting food, materials, consumables, and other products that help keep your team strong and your facilities running. In the game’s world, Citrome is part of the botanical genus often found in open areas and is easy to spot once you know what to look for.

Unlike rare minerals or manufactured goods, Citrome doesn’t require advanced tools to collect. It’s the type of resource you can gather with a simple interaction, making it one of the first wild items you’re likely to harvest in Talos-II.

Why You Need Citrome

Citrome plays several roles in Endfield:

  • Crafting materials: You can shred raw Citrome into ingredients used for advanced food and item production.

  • Consumables: Items like Citrome Powder and various canned Citrome products restore HP or provide buffs, which are helpful during tough missions or long explorations.

  • Quest objectives: Early story missions often ask you to collect Citrome, so knowing where they grow helps you complete these tasks faster.

Because it’s widely used but not always abundant in the wild, creating a steady supply of Citrome is a smart move.

Where To Find Citrome In The Wild

The first and easiest way to get Citrome is by foraging it in the wild. As a natural plant, Citrome grows in specific areas of the map where gatherable resources appear. These locations are usually outdoor regions with scattered plant nodes.

Here’s how to spot it effectively:

  • Look for clusters of plant nodes. Citrome tends to grow near other natural resources like Buckflowers, especially close to early areas such as The Hub’s Old Water Plant in Valley IV.

  • Scan the ground visually. Citrome plants will sparkle or stand out among rocks and foliage, so move slowly and check all sides of terrain features to avoid missing any.

  • Complete short loops. Instead of wandering randomly, mark a small route that hits every nearby Citrome node. This loop ensures you gather as much as possible in minimal time.

For early quests like “Gather some Citromes and put them in the backpack,” these wild spots are all you need. Simply interact with the plant nodes to collect the required amount and watch it automatically go into your inventory.

Using Citrome In Your AIC

Once your AIC (the base where you manage production and facilities) is established, you can move from sporadic gathering to planned cultivation. Growing Citrome in your AIC’s eco-farm gives you a steady, repeatable supply without relying solely on overworld spawns.

Here’s how to set up long-term Citrome farming:

  • Obtain Citrome Seeds: These come from either wild gathering or crafting, depending on your facility level and unlocked technologies.

  • Plant crops in the Eco-Farm: Assign the Citrome Seeds to farm plots to begin growing them. Once they mature, harvest them for raw Citrome fruit.

  • Keep plots active: To maintain supply, plant seeds continuously and harvest regularly. This ensures you never run short when crafting materials or fulfilling quest requirements.

Eventually, your cultivated Citrome will form the backbone of your supply chain, allowing you to shred it into further materials that feed into cooking and item production lines.
